Living Green

Inverell Shire Council is pleased to announce Living Green!

In 2015, Council launched the Living Green program, to help residents reduce household waste and decrease the amount waste entering landfill.  A recent study revealed more than 50% of waste entering Inverell Landfill is garden and food waste.

The Living Green program responds to this by offering the following initiatives, to help residents reduce waste:

INVERELL SHIRE’S COMPOST REVOLUTION

A program to encourage household composting and worm farming and reduce food and green waste going to landfill.

Compost bins are available to residents for $40.00. Download the Composting Flyer and Compost Bin Application Form below.

Compost and Worm Farm Workshops, a series of hands on workshops will be held throughout 2015-16. Details will be posted on our Facebook page and on the Living Green on 2NZ / GEM FM and also Inverell Times.

Please note: Worm Farms are now SOLD OUT.
