Current Vacancies  


The General Assistant shall be one of Council's mixed duties labourers responsible for the satisfactory execution of general road maintenance and construction duties.

The Graduate Envionmental Health Officer is responsible for undertaking environmental and public health functions on behalf of Council including the day to day oversight of a number of Council facilities such as cemeteries and landfills.

The Welder/ Fabricator is responsible for the maintenance and repair of Council's Plant Fleet and tools and carry out light/ medium structure fabrication and/ or other programs undertaken by the Fleet and Workshop Section.

The Cement/ Lime Spreader Operator is responsible for the satisfactory execution of cement/ lime spreading and stabilisation by a specialist truck for construction and/ or maintenance programs undertaken by the Civil Engineering Branch.

 Casual Positions

Occasionally Council may require casual employees for short term or relief positions, both on the indoor and outdoor staff. Registration Forms are available from the reception desk at Council's Administrative Centre. You may attach a resume to this form if you wish. Please leave your completed form at Council's reception desk, or mail to PO Box 138, Inverell NSW 2360. You will be considered for any casual positions which become available. It is advisable to renew your Registration Form every six (6) months.
